CMW Horticulture was founded in June 1989. From humble beginnings in a small rented business unit and portacabin, CMW has built a strong financial base. And now operates from freehold administrative and warehousing premises conveniently situated in E Yorkshire near the M62.
In April of 2021, CMW was acquired by Bosman Van Zaal, a renowned specialist in turnkey horticultural projects. From that point on we were even better able to respond to technical developments in the horticultural sector in the UK and Ireland, as we can make use of an extensive team of horticultural engineers.
Passionate about the success of CMW, many of the founding team still work in the business today. This includes Managing Director Ian Metcalfe, later joined by Gordon Badham as Technical Director and, most recently, Hannah Sedman as Financial Director.
The Bosman Van Zaal Group focusses on the turnkey realisation of logistics and robotics, water, electricity and climate solutions, control systems and data logging, and the development of Venlo glasshouse and polythene (foil) greenhouses.
CMW’s leading position in the UK horticulture sector has been built on a commitment to maintaining loyal relationships with customers and partner suppliers alike. CMW suppliers meet the highest standards for quality and reliability.
From the outset in 1989, CMW chose to work with suppliers and partners with a reputation for quality, reliability, and integrity. Since 2021 CMW is part of Bosman Van Zaal.
